Thermal treatment of animal feeds prior to pelleting increases their mechanical and nutritional parameters, including digestibility, on which livestock farmers care most. SteriliSed feeds are able to absorb more fat and have a higher degree of starch gelatinization. Obtaining such feeds is possible in a sterilizer (homogenizer) in which the retention time can be freely adjusted at a precisely defined temperature

The NPT Weighing System ensures easy regulation and monitoring of the amount of raw material flowing through the steriliser and protects against blocking the steriliser chamber. This flow in the cylinder allows for precise sterilisation of each particle of feed mixture.


The benefits of the sterilization process

  • Production of the cleanest animal feeds by thermal elimination of unwanted bacteria, fungi and other harmful substances

Optimal sterilization parameters

Integration in pelleting lines

During the sterilization process in the horizontal steriliser, the feed becomes clumping. The sterilizer is equipped with a set of knives that break up the lumps, while the Stabilizing Screw Extractor (SSE) restores the loose feed form.

This is necessary to ensure the optimal energy load of the pellet mill.

Stabilizing Screw Extractor SSE
